Vir breaks tourist records in corona period

The island of Vir is the only elite tourist destination in Croatia that had more than 214,000 overnight stays in the first 12 days of July, and thus the best tourist numbers in Croatia and is the most successful tourist destination in Croatia. Thus, Vir repeated the results from the first half of June when it led the most successful destination in the new tourist circumstances due to Covid19. Now, the set goals for 2020 seem realistic and achievable, although it did not seem so at the beginning, and they are: to be better than at the end of the tourist year and in terms of full tourist affirmation - to reach more than 1,000,000 overnight stays in July, thus exceeding Rovinj and being No 1 in Croatia.
