Grebastica

Grebaštica is a small picturesque village located 15km from Šibenik in a bay near the Oštrica peninsula. It is closed on the north by the Oštrica peninsula, on the south by the mainland and the islet of Tmara. Grebaštica is one of the longest bays in the Croatian part of the Adriatic.

Inhabited since ancient Roman times, Grebastica today has about 900 inhabitants, who are mainly engaged in providing services in tourism.

Certainly the most impressive symbol of the place itself is the defensive medieval rampart, located on the Oštrica peninsula, which is one of the two cultural monuments in the Grebaštica area under the protection of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.

It is unique for the combination of crystal clear sea and dense pine forest of the hill Jelinja. Beautiful pebble beaches, peaceful local atmosphere and rich gastronomic offer are confirmations of a guaranteed relaxing holiday, for which Grebaštica is famous.

During the summer months, like every Dalmatian place, Grebaštica comes to life. Every year, the Cultural Summer in Grebaštica provides good entertainment for all visitors, and from year to year the crown of the Cultural Summer in Grebaštica is certainly Grebaštica night, which is traditionally held on the last Saturday in July. In order for the guests of Grebaštica to get acquainted with Dalmatian customs, a Fishermen's Festival is organized in Grebaštica every summer, accompanied by a traditional klapa song.

With its position in the very center of the Croatian coast, Grebaštica is a perfect starting point for visiting many Croatian tourist attractions and destinations (Trogir, Šibenik, Primošten, Rogoznica, Vodice). Also Krka National Park is very close to Grebaštica.
