    The Zadar Wine Festival, which will be held on February 23 and 24 in an extended edition, from 14:00 to 20:00, with an excellent program in the hall of the Višnjik Sports Center, is the only one of its kind in Dalmatia. It gathers winemakers from all over Croatia.

    The Zadar Wine Festival is expected with more than 700 top wines from the far east and north of Croatia, across Istria all the way to Peljesac. At the Zadar Wine Festival you will be able to taste about 20 different wines from wineries from BiH, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, which gives the festival added value because it rarely gives the opportunity to taste world wines from the most famous wine regions.

    As part of the festival, this year's novelty is the Food corner, which will host two top chefs with Michelin star recommendations. Food corner is conceived as a concept of modern street food. Of course, an indispensable part of the festival is the music program with top musicians.

    From the very beginning, the Zadar Wine Festival has been supported by the tourist boards of the city and the county, which initially recognized the importance of this event.

    In 1928, Zadar got its first bridge. It had a pavement and pedestrian sidewalk on both sides, and its opening enabled boat traffic with bay of Jazina. The bombing of the city destroyed a bridge in 1944, and in its place in 1949 a provisional pontoon bridge was built on tin gas bottles. This bridge was a little bit unsafe, especially during strong wind. And finally, in 1962, with the great folk celebration, a bridge that you see here today was built.
