    Tinjan becomes the center of the gastronomic world: Everything is ready for the 18th edition of ISAP with Severina and the hunt for the Guinness record!

    Central Istria is once again preparing for its biggest autumn spectacle. From October 16 to 18, 2026, Tinjan will proudly justify the title of "Municipality of Istrian prosciutto" and host the 18th International Prosciutto Fair (ISAP). This event, which traditionally celebrates the king of gastronomic offer and attracts more than 20,000 visitors, this year brings a historic program, top European delicacies and concerts by the biggest regional stars.
    During the three days of the fair, visitors will be able to taste the products of about 40 renowned prosciutto producers in a large tent. In addition to domestic products with a protected designation of origin (Istrian, Krk, Dalmatian and Drniš), top cutters and producers from five other European countries are arriving in Tinjan: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia and Montenegro, offering a unique opportunity to compare different styles of meat processing and maturation.
    Historical spectacle: 300 cutters set off on a hunt for the Guinness World Record
    The biggest attraction of this year's ISAP is scheduled for the first day, when the official attempt to break the Guinness World Record in the category "The largest number of people cutting meat at the same time" begins. The organizers' goal is to gather as many as 300 trained prosciutto cutters to surpass the current record of 205 participants, set in 2018 in Torrijos, Spain. This historic undertaking will put Tinjan and the Istrian prosciutto tradition on the global gastronomic map. After breaking the record, the official and ceremonial opening of the 18th ISAP will take place with the announcement of the best, awarded prosciuttos.
    Along with top-quality prosciutto, homemade cheeses and a glass of top-quality Istrian wine, the organizers have prepared a rich entertainment program inside and outside the concert tent. Evening dates are reserved for major concerts: Severina, Neda Ukraden and Night Express.
    ISAP 2026 goes beyond purely gastronomic frameworks and offers rich accompanying content. The program includes Charcuterie masterclass workshops, guided tastings in collaboration with the Gustus association, expert lectures on prosciutto branding, as well as a recreational hike along the "Lidvinina prica" ​​trail and a popular cornhole tournament.
