    Fisherman's Week in Crikvenica

    60th "Fishing Week", is held from 29.8. to 5.9. and combines tradition, fun, love for the sea and reminding of the rich and valuable fishery past of Crikvenica. This year's edition is not just another Fisherman's Week, but a celebration of a tradition that has preserved Crikvenica's connection with the sea for six decades.

    PROGRAM:

    SATURDAY, 29 AUGUST 2026 – Opening of the 60th Fishermen’s Week

    • 07:00 – 4th Mići Grand Prix Crikvenica, Crikvenica aquatorium

    • 10:00 – 'What Is Fishing All About?' – educational fishing workshop for children by Fisihing Club Arbun Crikvenica, Podvorska Harbour

    • 16:00 – Traditional Wooden Boat Regatta – sailing and rowing in traditional wooden boats, Crikvenica Harbour

    • 19:00 – Children’s Workshop by Maritime and History Museum of Croatian Littoral – 'Fish Bites Fish’s Tail'

    Throughout the week on the main square, visitors will be able to taste fish delicacies at several gastronomic stands, while wines from the Wine Houses will be presented at the wine stands.

    The anniversary Fisherman's Week also brings several special events that aim to include visitors in the celebration. An exhibition of children's works "Fish, Dreams and Ropes" will be set up on Stjepan Radić Square, and as part of the "Sea of ​​Good Wishes" campaign, citizens and guests will be able to write their wish on a wooden fish and add it to the common "sea of ​​wishes".
    Special fish will also "swim" through the city during the event. In the "Find a Fish and Win a Valuable Souvenir" campaign, visitors will be able to look for specially marked fish from the 60th Fisherman's Week in the center of Crikvenica every day and bring them to the Tourist Information Center to win a prize.
